General Information

The 15th FOODAGRO 2011 - International Trade Exhibition is the largest trade event held annually in Tanzania, the hub of the vast East African market. The exhibition attracts exhibitors from more than 30 countries and visitors from all over East & Central Africa, thus giving exhibitors an excellent opportunity to explore several countries in one time.
Over the past few years, Tanzania has emerged as a major regional trade centre. This is mainly due to a very friendly and business like atmosphere it offers to foreign investors and products. Duties are considerably low and re-exports to neighboring countries are either very low or exempted.

Last year, the event attracted exhibitors from 19 countries including CHINA, EGYPT, FINLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, HONG KONG, INDIA, INDONESIA, KENYA and so on.
Business transactions last year
The response was overwhelming as 73% of the exhibitors reported high business prospects. The exhibitor survey indicated prospective and confirmed business transactions worth US$ 11.5 million during the 3 days of the event itself.
Visitor statistics of last year
A total of 11,450 trade visitors attended the exhibition. Approximately 1,700 overseas trade visitors visited the exhibition from countries like Ethiopia, South Africa, U.A.E., Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda & Madagascar.
