General Information
China Bevtek 2008, the International Beverage and Liquid Technology & Material Exhibition, has been launched by China International Exhibitions (CIE) in response to industry demand. Both end users and suppliers have long sought a high level international event for this dynamic high growth industry in the heart of the fastest growing beverage markets: Shanghai.
The China Beer Committee of the China Food Industry Association and the Shanghai Beverage Association were instrumental in the launch through their support and commitment to this project. Between them these associations represent nearly 700 enterprises, ie the bulk of the brewers, beverage manufacturers, equipment suppliers and retailers in the industry operating in China today.
CIE, members of Allworld Exhibitions, already organise the No 1 event for the processing and packaging industries in China, ProPak China, amongst their portfolio of world renowned events.
Vicky Leung, CIE's Project Manager for the China BevTek 2008 announced: "China BevTek is the event the industry demands - a high level show in the right venue and market. CIE has a proven track record in the packaging and processing sector with its ProPak China exhibition, the No1 show in China.
We know we can deliver the audience as at the last edition in July 2007 at ProPak China we attracted a total of 3,817 buyers who came in search of brewing, beverage and liquid processing and packaging technology and materials. A further specialist audience of 1,076 visitors attended from the liquid product manufacturing and supply sector. Additionally 193 delegates were present at the annual Beer Summit and various beverage seminars.
In addition to key buyers from global players such as PepsiCo, Coca Cola, Dole, Wahaha, InBev, Yanjing Beer, Unilever, etc international visitors at ProPak China 2007 were outstanding. As Chinese manufacturers increasingly sell into international markets, specifically Asia, the big international equipment suppliers will find they must adopt regional marketing strategies. Providing even more reasons for them to attend a show that attracts a regional audience in China. Based on our experiences at ProPak China we know China BevTek 2008 can deliver that international audience."
Comments from specialist companies at ProPak China 2007 such as Jiangsu NewAmstar claimed that "this show was the best we have attended in Shanghai. We endorse a dedicated event for the beverage sector". Mr. Huang De Hui, GM, Jiangsu Newamstar.
With a population of 1.32bn people, an undeveloped beer market, coupled with a booming economy growing at an annual rate of around 10% China's beverage and beer markets promise huge potential and offer tremendous opportunities to technology and equipment suppliers.
