The food industry of Uzbekistan is based mainly on processing of local agricultural raw materials. This branch never gets too old and state of things in it always generates general interest, while its production enjoys wide and unchangeable popularity.
The very fact that Uzbekistan possesses considerable resources for processing of agricultural production and development of food industry, expands the horizons for development of the business.

In 2007 Uzbekistan GDP is increased to 7.3 percent. Industrial output is increased to 10,8 percent; agriculture - to 6,2 percent, foreign trade turnover - to 13,5 percent.
