A hospitality industry trade event in Singapore next week will give more than 100 Australian food and beverage producers a vital platform to try to boost their exports into Asia.
Among them are 12 from South Australia, including Hahndorf Hill Winery in the Adelaide Hills.
Larry Jacobs from the winery says Austrade is helping them by attracting potential buyers from countries including China and India.
"Any challenge for any export into Asia is really the personal contact that you can possibly make with the potential importer and this conference, this trade show is a very direct way of getting there and having very direct communication and link and connection and bonding with potential importers," he said.
"Singapore has set itself up as a sort of gateway capital to the ASEAN bloc of countries so for potential Australian exporters it's an extremely important expo to be at whether you're selling food or wine or other services."
