The grains industry has a new program designed to train up the next generation of leaders. The Grain Growers Association has launched its Australian Future Grains Leaders program in Griffith in response to what it perceived as a void in the Australian grains landscape.
The aim of the program is to identify potential industry leaders and provide them with skills development and application experience.
Developed specifically for the grains industry, each participant will undertake an integrated industry leadership project aimed at increasing their involvement in the grains industry.
GGA chief executive, Peter Flottmann, said the initiative was a proactive step towards developing the next generation of grains leaders.
Applications are now being sought from people with an interest in driving and leading change in the future Australian grains industry.
The Program will commence in September 2008 and conclude in July 2009.
