Two companies with investment from the world's largest potato starch enterprise have opened in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan province.
The Netherlands-based Avebe B.A. company, founded in 1919, has funded the Avebe Runkai Agricultural Development Co., Ltd and the Avebe Runkai Starch Co., Ltd. Yunnan's Runkai Company is the other founding partner of the two ventures, which boast 9.1 million US dollars of registered capital and a 51 percent shareholding by Avebe B.A..
The enterprises would focus business mainly on seed potato supply and potato starch processing.
