Iran exported 87,347 tons of nuts and dried fruits valued at $671,801,000 in the first nine-month period ended December 21, 2009, up 20 percent compared to the same period the year before.
IRNA news agency quoted a report from Iranian Customs Administration that pistachio was the major exported item, accounting for 98 percent of the total weight of exported products.
