The Blueberry Committee began operations in 2009 with the objectives of promotion, new markets and improving quality.

In this sense the 2009 season had lower volumes than expected due to weather, but the fruit quality was very good, said Andres Armstrong, Executive Director of the Committee.



The partnership with other South American producers has been very interesting, for the second consecutive year the promotion has been organized in Europe along with exporters from Argentina, Uruguay and Chile. The cooperation is very fruitful and both seasons are complementary and we can work longer promoting in the winter in the Northern Hemisphere.
