Oriental Beauty is also known as Bai Hao Oolong or Champagne Formosa Oolong. In Europe, a few drops of champagne are added to each cup for additional flavor. The leaves undergo a high degree of fermentation (80%) before it is baked. Due to the local weather and environmental conditions in Northern Taiwan, this tea is difficult to obtain.
The dried tea leaves of Oriental Beauty is mostly dark brown with tinges of white and reddish brown. The steeped tea is golden brown in color. It has a strong smooth taste with a faintly sweet aftertaste and a floral aroma.
