The core activity of the Food Division is the processing and exports of the fresh water fish – Nile Perch (latin name Lates Niloticus) - caught from the pristine waters of Lake Victoria. The Food division has been processing Nile Perch exclusively for export since 1987. Alpha Group is the only Group to have established both presence and lake fish processing facilities in all the three East African countries.
