brunetto montecorno
this important red wine - refined in wood - is made with the
grapes of a native vine: the rebo. it is a crossing studied in the
thirties by the botanist rebo rigotti between the vines of merlot
and teroldego rotaliano. the fermentation of this great wine, whose
vines are cultivated on the hill called montecorno in desenzano of
lake garda, takes place in red (the peels are left for 8 days
together with the most) at a controlled temperature in allier
barriques of medium toasting. it is bottled after 2 years and it
rests in bottle for at least 12 months. of intense ruby red with
purple glares, it has got a winey scent of red fruit and to the
taste it recalls ripe jam and liquorice.
