General Description
The specific activity of Bilberry, Vaccinium myrtillus, comes from concentrated fruit pigments called Anthocyanins which acts as powerful antioxidants and have a specific strengthening effect on the walls of the vascular system. The usual application of Bilberry is for reducing eyestrain and improving night vision.
Bilberry extracts are now promoted for a number of vision and vein health effects such as diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, varicose veins and hemorrhoids.
