Fonte Margherita in Torrebelvicino (near to Mount Pasubio, in the province of Vicenza) boasts a history of over one hundred years.
The properties of the water flowing from this spring were discovered as long ago as 1845. Four years later Imperial Austrian Rule recognised its qualities and granted permission for it to be collected and bottled, a move encouraged by the Emperor Franz Joseph himself, who is said to have held it in great esteem.
The therapeutic properties of this water were already known to the inhabitants of the area. At that time the doctors and surgeons in charge of managing the water, advised its use. |
