Niehoffs Kaffeer?sterei GmbH specialty is the purchasing, roasting, packaging, and sale of high quality coffee. Today, under the management of Franz Niehoff III, the company's main focus is to provide organically grown coffee and to support fair-trade practices arround the world in addition to the company's other coffee specialties.
The Company was founded 1933 by Franz Leo Niehoff in Gronau- Epe (Westphalia). In 1945, Franz's four sons, Franz Jr., Willy, Leo, and Fritz, took over the company2s management. At that time, it focused on the sale of imported goods and boasted its own coffee roasting facilities. In 1954, Franz Jr. and his wife Else Niehoff became the sole managers of the business and focused the Company's operations on high quality coffee specialties from all over the world. After the unexpected death of his father, Franz Jr. in 1982, Franz Niehoff III assumed the management of the family owned business until today.
Today, Franz Niehoff personally visits coffee-producing countries such as Mexico, Peru, Brazil, and India, to ensure exceptional purity and quality of coffee purchased for the company. He visits the plantations to further develop and ensure strong, long-term business relationships and friendships with the company's coffee growers. |
