HUNGERIT Poultry Processing and Food Industrial Plc. with its headquarters in Szentes was founded on 1 July 1997 after a merger of three local limited companies working in close co-operation. The reasons of the merger were the possibility of capital investment and realisation of a management system with higher efficiency. Our professional skills and experience go back to as early times as 1922, since when there has been a poultry processing company in Szentes.
The profile of the company did not change after the merger either, it keeps concentrating on three main areas, namely the production of slaughtered and cut poultry, production of poultry products undergoing further processing and production of breadcrumbed heat-and-serve products manufactured through a high degree of processing. The production and the sale of the various products aim at forming out a consumer society in lives of whose members cuisine, health, family life and leisure time play a central role.
1500 employees contribute to achieve the aim of the company, whose technological background is guaranteed with high quality technology of breeding, two slaughtering lines on European level, two chopping lines and the most advanced production lines used in further processing. In order to produce high quality all the time, the company has implemented and has been applying an Integrated Management System, to which the HACCP food safety system, the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system and the ISO 14001:2004 environment-oriented management system belong. Besides the HACCP system, the food safety of the products is also guaranteed with QS, EFSIS (BRC) and IFS systems, which are used to strengthen customer confidence. The annual processing capacity of the company is about 41 thousand tonnes of poultry, mainly broiler chickens, liver geese and roasting ducks, which are sold at all levels of the national market ranging from shopkeepers to the biggest chains of supermarkets. Our export activities, which cover almost the half of our turnover, are pursued in thirty-five countries with more than two hundred commercial partners. The main customers are in Austria, Germany, Italy and France, but our products reach Japan and China as well. |
