| The company Ljubljanske mlekarne was established in 1956 as a company of Glavna zadruna zveza Slovenije (Main Cooperative Union of Slovenia). In the beginning around 200 workers took care to provide 69 thousand litres of milk per day, which was bottled. A year later the company began production of yogurt, cream, cottage cheese and cheese. In 1958 Ljubljanske mlekarne was the first company in the country to start the production of ice creams. |
