    `Flandria lettuce has well-formed and completely grown heads.
    `The lettuce is young and fresh.
    `The heads are not damaged nor do they have any physiological shortcomings.
    `the leaves at the bottom of the head must be well closed (not bony).



    Storage life

    Lettuce is best kept at a temperature of 3 to 4??C with a relative humidity of 90-95%.

    Grading occurs on the basis of:
    `the net weight of 100 heads
    `quality
    `cultivation method: glasshouse or soil
    Weight (kg per 100 heads):
    ` minimum 25 kg
    ` maximum 65 kg
    Possible weights:
    25 - 27 - 29 - 31 - 33 - 35 - 37 - 39 - 41 - 44 - 47 - 50 - 53 - 56 - 60 - 65 kg/100 heads
