What does a plum taste like?
Yellow plums have an excellent flavour, they are juicy and sweet and their stone loosens easily. Blue plums have a good, slightly sweet and sometimes slightly dry flavour. The stone is usually loose. Plums are very rich in fibres, contain a lot of vitamin C and are very low in calories.
How to recognise the quality?
How are plums graded?
Plums are graded on the basis of appearance, freshness and size of fruit.
The grading by size (4A - 3A - 2A - A) depends on the variety. There are no specific standards (fruit diameter - weight) per variety.
During grading only the grading by size is taken into account.
Plums are subdivided into varieties with large fruit and those with small fruit.
In which packaging are plums available?
