- The chicory is free of foreign odours and flavours.
- The length of the core is smaller or equal to half the head length.
- No core defects.
- The environmentally friendly cultivation method is guaranteed by registration of the cultivation and monitoring.
Storage life
Flandria chicory has a long storage life.
The chicory is conditioned between 2 and 5 and protected against daylight.
The guaranteed storage life can be checked by the date shown in the inspection stamp of the auction in question (only for Flandria Q).

Short thin: 3 - 5 cm ? 11 - 16 cm long
Short fat: 4 - 7 cm ? 11 - 16 cm long
Fat: 4 - 7 cm ? 12 - 18 cm long
Very short: 3 - 5 cm ? 9 - 12 cm long
