| In order to clarify the difference between this category of olive oil and extra virgin or virgin olive oils we will refer briefly to the production process. Pure Olive Oil is a mixture of Virgin Olive Oil and Refined Olive Oil. Refined Olive Oil, prior to be refined is not fit for human consumption. After the refining process, it is then blended with Virgin Olive Oil in order to produce Pure Olive Oil. It is evident that Refined Olive Oil due to its refining process does not have the same nutritional value as Extra Virgin or Virgin Olive oil and it is not suitable for consumption before blending with Virgin Olive Oil.
