Anhui Keemun Tea Factory was established in 1949. It is a state-operate tea factory with ability to process 2500 tons Keemun Black tea per year, 90% of which is supplied for export.
Its main product, "Qi shan" Brand Keemun Black Tea, is praised as "the Ace of the three rich-aroma teas for the world" in the international market. The grades of the tea are as follows: Hao Ya A, Hao Ya B, 1 to 7 Grade Keemun Congou Black Tea, High-grade Broken, Medium-grade Broken, Low-grade Broken, Medium-grade Fanning, Low-grade Fanning, Medium- grade Dust, Low-grade Dust, Tea Bag.
The superior quality has won various medals, among which is the gold medal in the Sixteenth World Conference of Mondeselection For The Appraisal of Quality Foodstuffs, Brussels in 1987. Not only medals but also high praise came on. In 1997 Dengxiaoping praise that:" Your Keemun Black Tea is famous around the world." when he visited Huangshan. In 1991 president Jiang took our products as present for Russia. Recently, in January 2001, "Qi Shan" brand Keemun Black Tea got the original mark from the China Inspection and Quality Bureau.
