All the chestnuts we use are grown locally in the Huairou district of Beijing. Nutritious and large-sized, they have high sugar content and medium water content. The highly valued 'Chestnut King' variety that we mainly use is sourced from 600-year old trees, which were planted for exclusive use by the imperial authorities in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Our chestnut plantation covers 10,000 acres, producing 12,000 tons of chestnuts annually; 7,000 tons of which are for export. |
