Conserve della Nonna was one of the first companies in Italy to produce tomato puree in glass bottles. The business was set up in 1973 in Ravarino, in the province of Modena, traditionally a farming area which over time has become one of the most advanced at international level both in the manufacturing and the food processing industries. The land, its products and the industriousness of those who for decades have been sowing, irrigating, harvesting and processing the fruits of Emilia form a unique heritage of values; the passion of bygone days combined with modern technology.
In the 80's, the Company started producing composite sauces, the main basis for the preparation of most of the condiments used in Italian cooking. At the same time a production philosophy was established which puts the natural characteristics and quality of the ingredients used to the best of their advantage and selects the most advanced technologies so that fragrance, aroma and nutritional values can be preserved, and lastly, which safeguards the use of glass to guarantee visibility of the product. This policy of pursuing quality is translated into a careful selection of raw materials, harvested at their peak and processed in their fresh state within 24 hours from being harvested, into state-of-the-art working techniques and simple packaging, which demonstrate how natural the product is.
