In 1960 Mr Mariano Pepe having inherited expertise from past family generations, set up I.M.C.A. S.p.a., a company based in Pagani, with the aim of specialising in canned food.
I.M.C.A. S.p.a., which is widely recognised on the international markets, thanks to its dedication to work and its continuous efforts in the fields of agricultural and industrial research, guarantees excellent quality and a serious regard for the preservation and protection of nature in order to reach and maintain the highest standards in product quality.
The company covers an area of 25.000 square metres of which 20.000 sq are indoors and devoted to the production and storage of the products, while the remaining part consists of offices and laboratories for the constant monitoring of product quality and standards.
I.M.C.A. takes its responsibilities towards the environment very seriously in compliance with the HACCP hygiene principles, the UNI EN ISO 9002 and UNI EN ISO 14001 standards.
The company promotes investment in research and development and has recently obtained the UNI EN ISO 10939 certification, BRC and IFS accreditations and the organic product certification.
IMCA studies all the documentation provided by its tomato suppliers to ensure that the produce comes from agricultural concerns that apply integrated control strategies.
Quality, honesty and reliability have always been the leading values of IMCA and through the well-known brand La Belinda, it has adopted marketing and communication strategies and has increased its range of vegetable products
The production plant can handle approximately 55,000 tons of fresh tomatoes daily, which is equivalent to about 50,000 various format cartons per day. Every phase of the process is carefully planned to obtain a product of the finest quality that can meet the needs of the most demanding customers.
