1902 Karl Handl grandfather founded the local butcher shop in the village center of Pians.
1920 Opening of the first stores in Landeck and Galtur.
1970 Karl Handl took over the company. Relocation of the business to the outskirts of Pians. A top-modern company was built in several steps.
1975 Opening of the first Bacon Alpine Pasture in St. Anton.
1978 HANDL started to supply stores all over Austria.
1990 The brand HANDL TYROL in its present-day form was created.
1993 Christanell in Naturns became a subsidiary company of HANDL TYROL.
1997 The Service Center in Sch?nwies started to operate.
1998 HANDL TYROL was awarded the title Top Product of the Year at the Tyrolean Brand Day.
2003 HANDL TYROL was awarded as the best Tyrolean family-run business.
2005 Zwergwurzerl Plum from HANDL TYROL won against 1000 other products at the Taste 05 in the framework of the Anuga in Cologne.
2006 HANDL TYROL was awarded the Gold Prize of the Best by the German Agricultural Society for constantly fulfilling high quality standards for 15 years.
