CTH-company was established in 1968 in Amsterdam. Initially, there were two family companies which were separately managed by the families Teijsen and van den Hengel. At some point these two families decided to join their forces and start working together. The Combinatie Teijsen v.d. Hengel (C.T.H.) B.V. was founded.
The company grew steadily and gradually specialized in:
collecting, cleaning and sales of:
natural casings for the sausage industry.
animal by-products (such as pork and beef stomachs, livers, hearts and lungs) for the production of pet food.
products to be processed in the pharmaceutical industry (like hog and beef pancreas glands for the production of insulin).
Products (such as pork stomachs, pork trotters, pork ears, pork kidney's, pork liver etc.)
Poultry products
Sales of various kinds of artificial casings, such as fibrous and collagen casings.
The Netherlands have a long-standing tradition in the production of pork and beef with a relatively large amount of export. Consequently, throughout the years, CTH developed into an export oriented company, building up an extensive client network all over Europe and on other continents.
