Violet red or dark purple powder. Used in beverage, candy, jelly, jam, etc.
Beet Red is extracted from the root of red beet (Beta vulgaris L. var. rubra) and refined.
Main composition: betanin.
Properties: Violet red or dark purple powder. In aqueous solution, its color vary with its PH. When PH is 3-7, it is violet red. When PH is more than 10 , it is yellow. The resistance to heat is bad. Powder dissolves in water (0.1%), pass through 80-mesh-screen.
