The Winery
The Winery was founded in2004 by Rami and Bettina Na'aman, who left the central town of Ramat Hasharonin2001 for the small village of Ramot Naftali in the Upper Galilee. There thecouple built a compound that includes a house made of ancient Galilee stone, anart studio managed by Bettina (an artist, designer and art teacher),two luxuryguest suites and the Naaman Winery.
The intimate winery is located in an underground building designed as a cave, its walls covered in rough plaster and stone. The cave is divided into twoareas: one room housing fermentation tanks, tasting stand and a laboratory, theother storing the barrels and bottles. The first harvest was in 2004 and asearly as 2005 the volume of production had already tripled to some 2,500bottles. Volume for 2007 is projected at5,000-6,000 bottles.
