Activated carbon for water filter cartridge is high quality granular coconut shell activated carbon or nut shell activated carbon.

The coconut shell or nut shell is initially carbonized and thereafter treated with high pressure steam which dramatically changes the microsporocyte of the material.

Feature:

The surface area of 1 gram of activated carbon on high activation could be up to 1,000 - 1,100 sq. meters . With such high micro porosity, coconut shell activated carbon is the most effective natural medium for the purification of air, water and soil.
