The land is Mainly composed of shale and sandstone, this Permian soil is poor and thus the vines must take root deeply to benefit from the full characteristics of the land.
The grapes flourish under the Mediterranean sun ideal for them to acquire their full flavour.
The cellar: The harvests from the different estates are all centralised and the wine is produced in the cellar of Cheau de Montaud.
Cellar capacity: 30,000 hectolitres 16,000 of which are in stainless steel fermenting tanks.
