Our Fiber-reinforced cellulose casing is made with exceptional quality because it is manufactured using a special viscose process, which allows for smoke permeability and high mechanical strength.

Fibrous casings are available in custom size cut pieces, shirred & on the reel. We also offer a wide assortment in colors as well as variety of custom cuts sizes ranging from 1SK to 12 (35mm to 174mm). Such variability makes them ideal for numerous products; from small, dry sausages to large boneless hams.

A Fiber reinforced cellulose casing with a threefold inner barrier layer.
- Water vapor barrier so the product keeps it weight and stays fresh for a long time.
- Oxygen barrier to keep the air out of the product, which causes discoloration.
- Aroma barrier so that the full taste reaches the taste buds.
These casings are offered in an assortment of colors and diameters. They can be shirred or custom cut, capped or clipped to your specification. Top Casings can be printed up to 6 colors.

OUR HISTORY

Globe Casing Company was founded in the Bronx in the early 1950's to provide the meat industry a dependable selection of natural casing. In May of 1970 the business was moved to Lodi, New Jersey. In 1971 a department was added to handle a complete line of fibrous casing. This department custom cuts and caps casings to the customer specifications. A few years later the hukki line of casing joined the list of products available. Over the years many convenience items were added to the product line to better serve our customers, such as stockinets, elastic netting, buttnets, skinless casings, collagen casings, twine, and a clipper machine.

OUR BUSINESS TODAY

After the millennium, a new product took the sausage casing industry by storm and we haven't looked back ever since. Plastic casing or "Polymides", provide multi-layer support that is excellent for cooking, storing and printing your logo with up to 10 colors! This explosion in the casing business caused us to outgrow our old facility and in 2006 we moved to our current location in Carlstadt, New Jersey, directly across the street from Metlife Stadium, the Izod Center & American Dreams Meadowland. more
