Fresh young drinking COCONUTS from the Philippines, naturally grown using no chemicals and much larger than Thai coconuts.

There are some distinct differences between the Filipino coconut and the Thai nut, whereas the Thai is a "hybrid" variety that is a cross between a coconut tree and a date palm, whereas the Filipino nut is classified as a "natural tall" variety. The Filipino 'tall' variety can grow up to 100 feet whereas the Thai is a dwarf tree.

They are both coconuts however the varieties have distinctive taste, colour and appearance. It can be compared to say a Red Delicious and Golden Delicious apple - both are apples but have distinctive taste, colour and appearance and therefore should be judged under a different set of criteria relating directly to that variety.

The Thai dwarf nut is smaller than the Filipino tall variety and therefore generally contains much less water and meat, t he Thai nut also has a "bleached" appearance whereas the Filipino nut has a natural cream colouring.

The Filipino nut is naturally grown and harvested whilst the majority of Thai nuts are farmed.

Filipino nuts are not as overly sweet as Thai nuts and have an overall smoother, crisper and more natural coconut taste. This comes as a result of the Filipino nut containing less sugar (as based on BRIX testing) as it is a natural 'tall' coconut variety.
