Johnnie Walker Red Label was launched in its current form by brothers George and Alexander Walker in 1909, though it had existed as Walker's Special Old Highland Red Label for some years previously. Alexander blended a type of whisky which is more suited to mixing with soda than the heavier, more old-fashioned whiskies, and named it after his grandfather, who had started the family business in 1820. Today it is the world's most popular whisky and is sold in more than 200 markets world-wide.
The Whisky HOUSE (TWH) is a family business founded in 1999, and has since grown to be one of the best specialist wholesaler of whisky and other spirits, serving thousands of satisfied customers every week.
The Whisky house ltd has flourished since the turn of the Millennium, surviving the dotcom crisis and continuing to diversify and strengthen its business. TWH's remarkable growth over the past five years has been driven by genuine word-of-mouth recommendations based on our excellence of product, the fairness of price and reliability of service.
