Yantai Andre Pectin Co., Ltd. was established by Yantai North Andre (Group) Juice Co., Ltd together with its overseas strategic partners in 2003. It is the first and the only professional joint-venture to produce pectin for food additives in China.
Total investment for the first phase of Andre Pectin amounts to USD 50 million.Its first production line will be set up and put into use by the fourth quarter of 2006, and the second line will be built up in 2008. By that time, its production capability for standard apple pectin will be up to 4000 MT.
Integrating all shareholders' advantages, i.e. abundant apple pomace, approved production technology and process, plus effective marketing network, Andre Pectin will grow up into a modern manufacturer of apple pectin and citrus pectin with competitiveness both home and abroad in the coming 3 to 5 years. It aims to be a world leading company in pectin manufacturing world and the largest pectin base in Asia. Andre Pectin also makes full use of computer automation systems and imported GMP production equipments to ensuer manufacturing consistentcy and qualified safe pectin with high quality.
Andre Pectin places strong emphasis on safety and quality of key materials and final products. It conducts testing of raw materials, process control and customer service in accordance to guidelines of MOH/ P.R. China, FAO/WHO, JECFA and FDA/FCC. In addition, Andre Pectin strictly adheres to GMP applicable to food industries to ensure overall quality control and quality assurance of final products.
Presently, Andre Pectin only has HM pectin. For long term, it plans to produce citrus pectin and other hydrocolloids. And its products will then range from HM pectin, to LMC Pectin and LMA pectin. These pectins will be extensively utilized in products like jams, jellies, fondant, beverages, acidified milk drinks, yogurt, and baked food, as well as pharmaceuticals and cosmetics
