Founded to process and market agricultural products in Seoul in 1980, YoungWoo Frozen Foods Co., Ltd. moved its factory to Mt. Jiri in 1986 making a bigger platform for future growth. In 1991 it started producing OEM products for Haitai Gohyang Dumplings and Icing. YoungWoo's history is written with its constant efforts to lead the frozen food industry in Korea based on its superior product quality and solid management as well as the full support from the customers.
It has distinguished manufacture facilities and runs a very strict quality control system, based on which it has expanded to include many product lines and develop high quality products. Now its position as a major foods company specialized in frozen foods is more solid than ever as it supplies the OEM products to the big companies such as Haitai, CJ, Pulmuone, Nongshim, Dongwon, and Hansung.
Its product lines include the frozen dumplings(handmade, fried, boiled, Gyoja, and ravioli), noodles(frozen, cold, and room temperature), beverage(tube and pouch), ice cream(cup), sweet jelly(red beans, walnut, and steamed red ginseng), and udong sauce. YoungWoo has constantly increased its business lines in the Korean distribution market by developing house brands and specialized products. Its advancement into foreign markets has paid off with annual exports of more than three million dollars to America, Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia. In 1988 it obtained the ISO 9002 certification, the international quality system certification, to manufacture more competitive products both home and abroad. It also got the HACCP(Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) mark from the Korean Food and Drug Administration in 2005.
