Application:

Pharmacological studies show that DNJ in mulberry leaf, by controlling the activity of disaccharide processing enzyme s , can inhibit the small intestine absorption of disaccharides (complex sugars such as sucrose) and lower peak blood sugar levels after meal s . It is especially useful for those suffering from high blood sugar .

In addition, DNJ can inhibit the glucose modification process of HIV membrane glycoprotein.
