Hazelnut production in the world is centered mostly in parts of Turkey bordering the Black Sea. Located in the biggest city in the region Baaran, though apparently newly established, is actually long time participant as a third generation successor in the production and distribution of hazelnuts worldwide.

Established in the year 1997 the hazelnut factory in Trabzon, has achieved annual production of over 10,000 metric tons within the first year of its operation. Basaran has been operating in full compliance with the ISO management standards from the beginning and has since exceeded its goals in every turn.
Having the most modern and one of the largest hazelnut production capacities in the sector, Baaran is able to meet its customers' demands in producing natural hazelnuts and all processed hazelnut products.
The factory in Trabzon is situated on 6200 m2 area, with 7000 m2 of enclosed space (click here for a tour of our factory and see our processes.) With over 200 employees Baaran has a total annual production of 36,000 metric tons of natural hazelnuts in its cracking section, having the first breaking machinery with 6 stones, dust removal and metal construction, and 18,000 metric tons of processed hazelnut products. more
