Mixed tocopherols are natural antioxidants which is a natural source form of Vitamin E obtained from vacuum steam distillation of edible vegetable oil products. They are a widely used ingredient in foods, dietary supplements, animal feeds and industrial applications to help protect finished products from the damaging effects of oxidation. In doing so they extend product shelf life and help prevent chemical reactions which can lead to undesirable changes in finished product flavor, odor or color.
