We are located in the industrial district of downtown Portland, Oregon. Quality assurance has been our focus from the beginning. Our parent company, Overseas Merchandise Inspection Co., Ltd., (OMIC) was founded in Tokyo, Japan in 1954 to inspect the quality of food imported into Japan. OMIC opened its first US office in San Francisco, California in 1955. Today, OMIC is an industry leader with laboratories, testing, and inspection facilities strategically located around the globe. OMIC's presence in the U.S. is an integral part of that comprehensive global network.
OMIC Portland Branch was established in 1959 to serve the needs of the Pacific Northwest grain-export industry. Specializing in wheat and grain inspection, sampling, analysis, testing, and survey, OMIC Portland Branch certificates are entrusted by traders, shippers, receivers, investors, governments, and contractors worldwide.
Specializing in unique and technically challenging laboratory analysis, OMIC USA Inc. was established in 1992. This testing facility uses state-of-the-art technology to ensure clients receive the highest-quality service and protection.
