Established in 1972, Asya Meyve Suyu ve Gida San A. S. opened its production facilities in Avanos, Nevsehir in 1975. In the year 1983, Asya Meyve Suyu ve Gida San. A. S. moved its production facilities located in Avanos to Bogazova in Egirdir, Isparta, in the Lakes Region, which has the most exceptional and highest capacity in Turkey especially in terms of apple production, where it built the most up-to-date fruit juice concentrate and puree processing facility in Turkey.
The apple output of Bogazova alone is around 200, 000 tons a year. With the periphery of 50-60 km, the output reaches 400. 000 tons. Considering a periphery of 150 km, the output reaches 800, 000 tons. In this regard, Egirdir is the best site available in Turkey. The transport costs have been reduced to a level close to zero. Also, it is located at a distance of about 100 km to the sour cherry and pomegranate raw materials, which have recently acquired great commercial value.
The procurement of peaches has taken place from the Areas of Tokat, Bursa, Canakkale, Mersin, Aydin and Egirdir, while the procurement of apricots is made from the Areas of Nevsehir, Kayseri, Afyon and Malatya. The facility, having a covered space of 12, 000 m2 situated on an area of 33, 000 m2, was modernized in 2005 by incorporating equipment based on the latest technology of the day and its capacity was increased by 40% . In 2006, the production facility of Asya Meyve Suyu ve Gida San. A. S. implemented the natural gas conversion project and started to meet its energy need through LNG (liquid natural gas) in its production thanks to the new technology it established, rather than through fuel oil no. 6 which it used in the former system. In this way, both a great saving of energy was achieved and environmental damage in terms of air pollution was reduced to the minimum. The-18C cold storage capacity of the facility was increased by 100% again through the investments carried out in 2006.
