The pear guava is a hybrid fruit from the ordinary guava with the pear, with a bigger size, thicker peel and green color that turns yellow when ripe, orange-salmon flesh with a great amount of small hard seeds (chewable) and a strong aroma. It is tougher than the normal, although the flavour does not change too much.
The fruit is editable, rich on vitamins A, B and C, may be used in multiple recipes as juices, jellies and mermelades.
