COMPANY PROFILE
Embutidos Caula, S.L. is a producer of cured air-dried meat products and sausages. Its history starts back in 1921, when the first factory commenced the production of typical fuets, salchichones and butifarras. From the beginning these products were sold in the local market and the sales were later extended to the whole region and finally nationwide. In 1989 the company started to sell outside of Spain and in 1991 the factory was adjusted to European standards and regulations and became to be one of the first factories of its kind in Girona which was certified by the European Economic Community.
Certification agency Bureau Veritas certified in year 2001 that Embutidos Caula S.L. accomplishes ISO 9001/2000 requirements
The company not only produces as a single factory, but is member of a group of local manufacturers, who together have founded one of the most technologically advanced and important factories for Jamon Serrano in Spain. The production site in Sant Esteve de Llemena (Girona) has a weekly production of approximatley 20,000 Serrano hams.

At present the factory for Jamon Serrano is certified further to IFS and BRC standards and the Serrano hams which offers Embutidos Caula have been awarded with the Gold Medal from prestigious company DLG thanks to their outstanding quality.

Embutidos Caula is finalizing the constructions of its new production site with 10,000 sqm, it is foreseen to take up production in January 2011.
Thanks to this new project Embutidos Caula can guarantee satisfaction of continuously growing demand since year 2000.

Our range of products consists of Serrano hams, Fuets, Salchichones, Chorizos, Salamis, sliced products and a new line of products covering specially the requirements of self-service sales points for Tapas, snacks, etc.

HALAL PRODUCTS

Mosaic Foods is the product line for Halal products belonging to Embutidos Caula S.L.. Already eight years ago at Embutidos Caula we detected a lack of Halal products in the market and we started to create a specific product line. In January 2011 we will inaugurate a new factory for the elaboration of cured and semi-cured meat products, in which we will be able to guarantee 100% Halal conditions. The construction process was supervised by European Moslem Authorities and thanks to its design, cross contamination with No-Halal products will be completely avoided, being like this the first factory in Europe with these characteristics. more
