The three varieties of Tequila Celestial we are representing: A very popular Tequila is labeled as Silver Tequila . This tequila has not seen any aging in oak barrels and so it will retain the natural smells of the agave plant and is frequently the choice of the Tequila purists.

At the mid level, we find the ‘ Tequila Reposado ’, (reposado means “Rested”) indicating that it has spent some time on oak barrels and so has softened, may have a slight loss of the freshness, but has gained subtlety and Flavors from the aging process. Reposado is aged 6 months in Kentucky bourbon barrels.

At the top of our flavor palate you will find Tequila Anejo (anejo means “Aged”), which, of course means ‘. Unlike old cognacs, Tequilas do not benefit from too long of resting as they will lose some of the flavor and actually may destroy some of the specific qualities we are looking for in a Tequila. Anejo is aged 18 months in Kentucky bourbon barrels.
