Originally as simple little tinned-delicacies business, founded by Pierre Pebeyre in 1897, in an isolated hamlet in the north of the Lot Department, the firm became, after four generations, one of the leaders in the truffle market.
Alain Pebeyre, who took over the management of the business around about 1920, wisely made the company specialize and gave it its national reputation.
