May 2000, DAVSEATIC ENTERPRISE CO. , INC. (DST) was formally established by expert men and women in the field of processing and marketing of fresh and frozen fishery products particularly tuna and bill fishes like marlin and swordfish. Its main objective is to supply high quality fresh and frozen marine products to both international and local markets.
A month later, DST started exporting fresh sashimi-grade tuna to Japan and later on to the U. S. In 2005, it was able to penetrate the Canadian market.
Gaining and edge on competitors for the past four years, DST had shipped an average of 30 to 40 tons a month to international markets. It also has its wide clientele of domestic buyers.
Today, DST employs approximate 30 regular workers and 35 part timers technically equipped and prepared in processing of marine products. It is accredited with the Bureau of Food and Drug (BFAD) . Its plant is located inside the Davao Fish Port Complex at Toril, Davao City. more
