The History – Winery UTMS  was founded in 1976, with the formation of a group of growers to improve their wine production. In 1987 came the first production of wine from the then initial 100 members.
From that time growth has been constant, the members now numbering 400 and the area of vines being 850 hectares.

The vineyards are situated around Hills of Center part of Italy  to a height of 350 metres the hills of the Marche being particularly suited due to the excellent micro climate and soil quality.
The large variety of vine types, the land and the position on the slopes allows a wide selection of the
best quality grapes.

The philosophy – To produce the highest quality wines whilst keeping the price at a reasonable level and to bring to the customer the best possible product.
To produce a wide variety of fine wines to appeal to all tastes.
Maintaining a strong connection with the land and keeping the ancient traditions and art of wine making flourishing.

By closely monitoring production and direct sales through our outlets, we can ensure that we offer the best wines at the best prices. These are “the pillars” upon which is built the philosophy of UTMS

The Production – Today UTMS produces big quantity of  bottles of wine, sold mainly nationally through our outlets or specific sellers.

The export market is growing concentrated mainly in the US of A, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Belgium and Holland. There is an increasing interest in our wines in immerging economies such as India, Russia and Brazil. In China UTMS  is represented in the high quality group situated in one of the most prestigious streets in Peking. In Poland, considered strategic for wine sales in central and eastern Europe, the society has been inaugurated in Warsaw.

The “UTMS  range of fine wines represents the excellence of the production, selecting grapes from
specific “pilot” vineyards and precise harvesting. The resolve with the “UTMS” range is to constantly improve the quality by a reduction in yield and restructuring the vineyards and also the careful selection of the best grapes coupled with the finest modern wine technologies, The wines then being refined in oak barrels and “barriques”.

the Cantina has always been famous.

Acknowledgements – Our excellent wines have received many awards attained Nationally ( Guide dei Vini ) and Internationally such as the Gold Medal ( Medaglia d’Oro ) and the prestigious German medal “Mundus Vini 2010″ for the Rosso Sup. DOC 2006.

Written about us – Many publications have issued articles about the UTMS. Newspapers, local and National, such as Corriere Adriatico, Il Messaggero, Il Resto del Carlino.
Also articles on the internet dedicated to wine making and tourism as well as features on radio and television.
In the foreign media we had an article in the Chinese gastronomic periodical “Baking” which dedicated five pages to the UTMS and its fine wines.
