Food Service was founded in 1995 by Zofia Sypula, Jan Trzepanowski and Marek Czerniej as a meat trading company.
In 1997 the first Food Service cutting plant with a cold store capacity of 200 tons was opened. Three years later in 2000 a cold store with a capacity of 2000 tons was built and the new pig slaughterhouse and deboning plant has been recently opened in May 2005.
The slaughter efficiency of Food Service reaches up to 1350 pigs per day. Food Service sells more than 150 ton of meat products daily to the Polish and foreign clients. Food Service cooperates with companies from the EU as well Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Bosnia, Norway, China and the African countries. The export accounts for 50% of the company's total sales.
The main activity of the company is purchasing and transporting live animals, slaughtering pigs, deboning pork sides as well as beef quarters, freezing and storing meat. The company owns the means of transport for delivering live animals as well as chilled and frozen meat.
