Information about the "Chateau Saint-Jacques"
Chaeau Saint-Jacques, a ordeaux Superieur, comes from a small plot of vins bordering Chateau Siran in Margaux. Over the centuries, river alluvia have covered the gravel to give a clay soil, which produces well-balanced wines deep in structure. The grapes are harvested by hand, and are sorted twice before being vinified under the advice o the oenologist Denis Dubourdieu. The ageing in oak barrels lasts 6 to 8 months.
