1. Corn flakes is a popular breakfast cereal originally manufactured by Kellogg's through the treatment of corn. Owing the growing of meal for school children and easiness in preparing this kind of product, the market for those products is growing each day.
2. This line lists the equipment required for a plant to produce uncoated extruded cornflakes using two methods:
Using a AMC350 twin screw extruder for an output of 150kg/hr.
Using a AMC800 twin screw extruder for an output of 300kg/hr.
3. Basic Process
The process involves the continuous cooking and extruding of maize to form pellets with moisture Content of approximately 22%. The pellet is subjected to a flaking operation before being toasted to give a toasted flake with moisture content of 3%
