Although fried, our roasted corn snacks contain
approximately 60% less fat than other similar snacks

Picola Foods was established in 1997 as the first and only manufacturer of whole kernel maize snacks in South Africa. We are a family owned operation, located in Brits, North West Province, South Africa and we currently employ 40 full time staff, work 24 hours a day, six days per week.

Our product line currently includes caramel and savoury popcorn, extruded snacks, whole kernel maize snacks, kettle corn and multi grain chips, for the latter two we are also the first to launch these products in South Africa.

We offer a range of branded products as well as co-packing house brands and other branded lines. Our current clientele in South Africa includes major FMCG customers such as Pick and Pay, Woolworths, Clicks Group and also Snack Factory and we also supply to schools nationally.

We intend to further establish ourselves as a major producer of both branded and house brand snack foods in Africa, focusing on niche products with a "better for you" label.
